Addition of missing veneer or re-veneer with a wide range of materials in different thicknesses. Veneers often come off due to glue having dried out or because of physical damage. In such cases, old veneer should be reglued and if necessary new veneers applied to some parts. It is also often the case that large areas of veneer are still in place but loose, making them more vulnerable. Such parts should be reglued.

Restoration of timber constructions and wood joints. The effects of dryness or changes in the structure after years of use often require sympathetic attention to bring back the original form and restore strength.

French polishing and wax finishing. Re-polishing an object, retouching it or renewing the wax finish may be necessary, for instance when a table top shows ring marks, or the woodwork of an old piano is dull and has lost all its charm (retouch or repolish entirely); similarly, hand-made classical guitars, discoloured cupboards etc. may be treated similarly.

Restoration of colour or shine. Removal of stains or discolouring caused by sunlight or dampness.

Making good damaged drawers and doors and correcting sticking and creaking furniture

Woodturning. Making or repairing a broken turned table leg, a finial or a ball foot on a piece of furniture.

Creating hand-made profiles or mouldings. Mouldings on a piece of furniture are often broken or missing. New mouldings can be made to match exactly.

Clock cases, ranging from the simply worn to complete wrecks, are frequently brought to us by clock restorers. These usually need complete restoration.
